Breaking the Fast on Jakarta LRT? Here is How

LRT Jakarta has established regulations for breaking the fast throughout Ramadan 2026 to ensure the comfort of all passengers.

The Jakarta LRT allows passengers to break their fast on the train up to ten minutes after the Maghrib call to prayer. This allows passengers break their fast immediately without having to wait to get off at their destination station.

Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT LRT Jakarta, Sheila Indira Maharshi, said that there are several provisions for passengers who want to break their fast on the train or in the LRT Jakarta station area.

"Passengers can break their fast by consuming light food or drinks, but we urge them not to consume food with a strong aroma," she said, Thursday (2/19).

This policy is a form of PT LRT Jakarta's commitment to providing the best public transportation services that are friendly, safe and comfortable for everyone.

As for information, the Jakarta LRT train operating schedule remains normal during Ramadan, from 5:30 AM to 11:00 PM with a 10-minute headway. Jakarta LRT stations are also equipped with prayer rooms and retail areas, making it easy for passengers to pray and purchase food for breaking the fast.
